I have two machines on our LAN - one is my desktop, running Mandrake 9 (xfree86 ver. 4.3.0), the other is SuSE 7.2 for s/390 using xdm, not gdm. I have a number of other UNIXes in the network, and I can start their desktops with: X :1 -query otherhost However, when I try to connect to the SuSE/390, I get the greeter, log in and then my Xserver dies with signal 11 - see the attached log file. I assume that this must an error in the Xserver on my desktop machine, but is there a workaround? /jan
