Yes, thank you very much.  After I said I couldn't get Xnest built, I
kept pounding my brains over it, and found the solaris exclude file, and
concluded exactly what you just told me.

In the end, I have Xnest built, and since I came across several other
people trying to find Xnest for solaris8 sparc, I wrote a summary of my
troubles at http://nedharvey.com/install_XFree86_Solaris8_sparc.txt
