New Kernel makes X fail
Try starting with a new kernel(linux-2.6.3) I get this error.

  _XSERVTransSocketOpen: socket() failed for local
_XSERVTransSocketOpenCOTSServer: Unable to open socket for local
_XSERVTransOpen: transport open failed for local/debian:0
_XSERVTransMakeAllCOTSServerListeners: failed to open listener for local

  Fatal server error:
Cannot establish any listening sockets - Make sure an X server isn't
  already running

When reporting a problem related to a server crash, please send
the full server output, not just the last messages.
This can be found in the log file "/var/log/XFree86.0.log".
  Please report problems to xfree86@xxxxxxxxxxxx

startx from Console givesthis result :
xinit: Adress family not supported (errno97) : unable to
  connect to X server
Starting X manually is possible, but no xclient can be started or not
appears on the screeen.
With the old kernel (DebianPackage 2.4.18-bf2.4) everything fine.

what can I do to solve the problem
Thanks
