To Whom It May Concern:

       Dear Sirs,

I just installed OpenBSD3.4 on my 2nd HD. It boots just fine. However, I am unable to get the X gui to work. Typing "startx" only gives me an error message.

I did look in /etc/sysctl.conf and the line: Machdep.AllowAparture=2 is there.

The instructions within tell me to send you the contents of "XFree86.0.log" so I include that, in total, here:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(- -) Check DevMem: using aperture driver /dev/x86
(- -) Using wscons driver in pcvt compatibility mode (version 3.32)
	(ww)GARTInit:AGPIOC_info Failed (Device not configured)

(EE) Unable to locate/open config file
	(EE) Error from XF86 HandleConfigFile ( )

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's it. I hope you can help me with this. I tried to be very careful installing this OS but I am a newbie so, if it's my error, please let me know. Thanks!

One more thing. I downloaded the X tgz's from:

                ftp://mirror.cs.wisc.edu/pub/mirrors/OpenBSD/3.4/i386/

I hope they are good but the site did not give me an MD5cksum for the X files.

Thank you for the work all of you do in providing us with a great OS!

					Sincerely,

							Gene (from Memphis) :-)
