changing refresh rate?

I recently purchased a Iiyama Vision Master Pro 514 monitor and a Quadro DCC graphics card for viewing molecules with stereo glass. However to get a view without any flickering I need a refresh rate of around 120 hz (60 hz for each eye).

To set the refresh rate I generated a modeline on this site: http://xtiming.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/xtiming.pl
(with input that I found in the monitors manual: Horizontal: 30-142 kHz, Vertical 50-200 Hz, 390kHz dot clock, 1280x1024 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate)


This modeline was the result:

I inserted this line in my XF89Config under the monitor section and added "1280x1024@120" under modes in the screen section.

I further added these lines under the device section to suppress EDID:

Unfortunately the refresh rate is not changed when I restart X. What goes wrong???
Please help. I am out of ideas.
