Without knowing exactly what your specific problem is however, nobody can help you. Also, 4.1.0-50.EL is the current release for RHEL 2.1. Have you filed a bug report in Red Hat bugzilla, that includes a complete description of the problem you are having, along with instructions on how to reproduce the problem, and with individual uncompressed file attachments of your X server log, config file, and /var/log/messages?
