For some reason panel detection seems to fail on BSDs. you get corrupted panel info. I'm not sure why. There are two work arounds. 1. disable agp support in your kernel 2. use xfree86 from cvs and manually specify the panel dimensions using the "panelsize" option. Perhaps this should be filed as a bug...
