I just ran linetest both with the buggy XFree 4.3.0 version of s3_drv.o and with the fixed one provided by Thomas Winischhofer.

The result is like expected:
With the buggy version, the zero-width lines do not work correctly
and nice line patterns can be drawn.
You can look at a screenshot at http://people.freenet.de/pei/s3_bug.gif.
With the new version, it's ok (only 1 visible line).
Lines with a higher width are fine in both versions.
