I recently upgraded from a Matrox G450 to a Radeon 9100. I was a little disappointed
in the results. I guess I was expecting too much. Anyway, for the Radeon 8500/9100
folks out there, how do these numbers look?
AMD Athlon 900 MHz 768 MB of RAM Radeon 9100 64 MB (DDR) Sapphire Edition, fglrx 3.2.8 drivers from ATI Matrox G450 32 MB, drivers from Matrox XFree 4.2.1 Debian Unstable with Kernel 2.4.22
Desktop for both cards was 1152x864. The ATI driver only allows from 24bpp. The Matrox
was using 16bpp.

G450 was at 16bit and Radeon was at 32bit, those were the only options allowed for each card. For all tests, world texture detail and skin detail were set to low, no decals, and no dynamic lighting.
