Hi Mark Just to let you know I solved this problem by installing an old nvidia driver. It failed with nvidia drivers at release 4363 and 4496 but works fine with 4349.run (NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4349.run) Regards Jean-Paul -----Original Message----- From: xfree86-admin@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:xfree86-admin@xxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Mark Vojkovich Sent: mercredi 15 octobre 2003 01:50 To: Jean-Paul Lucas Cc: xfree86@xxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: [XFree86] Black screen starting Xfree86 with Mandrake 9.1 On Tue, 14 Oct 2003, Jean-Paul Lucas wrote: > How can I get the "nv" driver ? > "nv" is the driver for NVIDIA chips that ships with XFree86. If you have XFree86, you already have a version of the "nv" driver. However, before XFree86 4.3, the "nv" driver did not support digital flat panels. If you have XFree86 4.3, just make sure you have: Driver "nv" in the Section "Device" in the XF86Config file.
