I'm trying to convert my girlfriend over to Unix from Windows, and while she's game for doing it, her one hard and fast requirement is a graphical web browser. So, she needs X. Unfortunately, I have no clue why X doesn't want to work on her Compaq. I'm hoping that some kind soul receiving this email might understand what's happening here. Recommendations for how to proceed will be gladly accepted.
