Sir, Madam,

On my PC, thenext system are installed :
-MS Windows 98SE
-Free BSD 4.8
-Debian 3.0
-Mandrake 9.X
-Redhat 8.0

Only Rdhat and Windows run with graphical interface.
X Windows does not start on Debian, Free BSD and Ma drake. I don't undrestand why?
On BSD, I have run mkfondir. In XFree86.0.log, there are no (WW) and (EE).
Before installing and run Redhat (7.3), Mandrake 8.2 was OK.
Is ther annincompatibility with Redhat and others Unix/Linux distributions?
I like all distributions, but I like more Mandrake for good configuration tools (and I'm French!!) and Debian because it's totally free.
Also, I woulld like to try BSD with KDE.
Thank you very much for help and datas

Jean-Jacques
