A few notes: I've tried to switch on/off both "CyberShadow" and
"ShadowFB", without any visible/percievable change.

The linux kernel has VESA framebuffer on. The kernel trident FB driver
would give me either psychadelic effects or only a small square in the
middle of the screen where text would get displayed. So I'm using VESA FB,
which works.
