i've just recently installed a RED HAT 8.0 LINUX distribution. during the graphical setup my monitor, video card were both detected perfectly (monitor probed as IBM E54 and video card detected as INTEL 845 series).
however when the system reboots X cannot be initialised and it falls back to the command line.
even startx fails.
i'm attaching the log file generated by XFree86 from the location /var/log/XFree86.0.log.
please could you help me put with this.
