I've got a 1760x1050 WXGA+ laptop screen (Compaq Presario x1000) and I'm trying to figure out how to get the whole resolution registered with X. Unfortunately, I have had no luck trying to get refresh rates from Compaq support, so I can't get more than 1440x1050 resolution. The hardware scales this across the whole screen, so it looks wide screen but it's in fact stretched and aliased (although not *that* bad). Anyone have help/clues?
