shift scroll lock...

I am running redhat 7.3 using the gnome desktop
environment. I have a 122 keybord that I would like to
use with the system. Everything is working great except
for the numlock. On this keyboard, numlock is toggled by
pressing shift and scroll-lock. From the console (X not
running) this works correctly. However, when I press the
key combination withen X the computer beeps at me and
nothing happens. I'm guessing that X is intercepting the
shift+scroll lock sequence and trying to do something
with it. Is there a way to either disable this or have
numlock turn on by default when X starts?

Thanks in advance
Ryan
