I had a look in the archives possibly Alan Hourihane could help if he is following the list these days... I would definitely go back to 3.3.6 (just backup /etc/X11/X and recreate X as a symlink to /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_SVGA) then XF86Config will be used there you have to watch out (see http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/maddin_xcirrus.html) good luck Lionel --- "David E.
