Problem upgrading to 4.2.1

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

(I hope I'm directing this to the correct mailing list; if not,
please re-direct me.)

So, having a long and successful run with 4.1.0 I decide to
upgrade to 4.2.1.
The build and install go fine. However, when I try to start X
- either via "xdm" or "startx" - it tries valiantly and dies.
The system specs, config file, and X error log are appended.
Note the hardware did not change across the upgrade.
Does anyone have an idea what I've missed? (I can see _where_
it's breaking, what I need to know is _why_.) Or is it possible
my hardware suddenly went flaky?
