Take a look at your /dev dir.

Look for a symbolic link called /dev/mouse. It'll point to /dev/<somewhere>.

Try using /dev/mouse instead of /dev/tty0 under XF86Config

If there is no symbolic link, try using /dev/ttyS0 (COM1) or /dev/psaux, in case of a PS2 mouse.
