Title: Problems with Xfree86
First, let me say in apology that I have more than one problem here.

The first one is that my network configuration screen is not set up correctly. I've called my IP, but been told I don't have a Host or a Domain, as this is now handled by DHCP. Without setting that up, I can't complete the screen. I've tried to use the IP's old domain name (telocity.com) and my own name for the machine (UNIXBaby), but it does not work.  If anyone has a clue, I'm buying.

#2:
Since I installed FreeBSD 4.6 and XFree86, I've been unable to start XFree86. When I try to run startx, it responds as follows:

bash-2.05a$ startx
xauth: (argv):1:  bad display name "UNIXBaby.telocity.com:0)" in "list" command
xauth: (argv):1:  bad display name "UNIXBaby.telocity.com:0)" in "add" command

Fatal server error:
Cannot open log file "/var/log/XFree86.0.log"

giving up
xinit; No such file or directory (errno 2); unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error
xauth: (argv)1: bad display name "UNIXBaby.telocity.com:0)" in "remove" command

But when I do an su and run startx as root, it runs. So what is wrong here?

I'd appreciate help on these two problems.

Thanks!
