To be frank I never heard of a Protocol "Microsoft" I think that could be the problem... I have already had Device "/dev/psaux" I suspect it points to the same place as "/dev/mouse" I would be quite surprised that Protocol "PS/2" would not apply (but then I don't know everything...)
