I'm not sure of the format, as I sent the error message I receive when attempting to run X on my XFree86 Version 3.3.6a in an earlier email, but no real explanation (it was also sent from another email address I have w/hotmail :o) ). When ever I attempt to run X on my linux box I get the following (error) message: XFree86 Version 3.3.6a / X Window System (protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6300) Release Date: April 19, 2001 If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your card is newer than the above date, look for a newer version before reporting problems. I am running an old PB Pentium 120. I'm really not sure what other info I would need to supply in order to successfully run X. Please help......
