Hi,
I have been following the Xinerama How-To by Dennis Baker = (http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Xinerama-HOWTO.html) in order to run a dual = head X configuration with my ATI Fire GL 8800. It is a dual headed card = with drivers for Linux/XFree86 provided by ATI. Initially, I ran the 'fglrxconfig' tool provided by ATI for configuring = the card for dual head support. Afterwards, I ran 'startx' and got the = XServer to run on both monitors...but the desktop would only span 1??? = That's when I discovered I needed to be running X with the Xinerama = extension enabled. After reading Dennis' How-To, I launched X by doing 'startx -- = +xinerama'. With the addded "+xinerama" option to the command, I can't = get X to run at all.
