Hello all, I'm having a booger of a time configuring a Diamond Fire GL 3000 card (single headed) with XF86 4.2.0. Worked perfectly fine with 3.3.6, before upgrading to RedHat 7.3. Too bad the config files aren't compatible :( Symptoms are: - Upon starting X, monitor goes into standby mode. CTL-ALT-<minus> brings it back. Periodically, monitor goes into standby while X is up, and I have to CTL-ALT-<minus> to get the display back. - If I leave X up unattended for a while (~30 minutes), the whole machine locks up, and I have to hit the reset button to recover. - Gracefully exiting X causes the TTY to go all white, and I can't see my prompt - have to su and reboot without seeing what I'm typing. Other weird things: - Card has 8MB VRAM, 16MB DRAM, but the log shows that it's only recognizing 8MB when it starts up. - X is recognizing both the 500TX and Delta chipsets under different BusID's (as well as an Avance ALG2501). Specific questions: Which chipset(s) do I use in my Device section? Do I need to have Device sections for all? If so, which should be referenced in the Screen section? Below is my XF86Config-4 file, and attached is an XFree86.0.log file. Any help someone can give me will be gratefully appreciated.
