>if so run XFree86 -configure the file will be created as XF86Config.new >in you home directory >I don't know whether the Xconfigurator of RH 6.2 can recognise an X 4.x >(if it did it might give >you a better conf) i'm using mandrake-cooker haver Xfree 4.2 although i did rewrite the XFree86Config-4 file i get a black screen. I have the feeling mandrake- cooker didn't install "everything" for XFree, for example fbset wasn't installed and Xconfigurator isn't found by bash. How could i verrify all the module for XFree86 are allready installed ? also, is XFree86 -configure valid on XFree 4.2. notice i'm using a somehow old video card (ATI, XCLAIM VR Pro) and an exostic second one (mac Picasso chip is Cirrus Logic GD 5436 Alpine), from XFree site i have the feeling both cards are recognised... -- Yvon Thoraval _______________________________________________ Newbie@XFree86.Org *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie
