I installed Red Hat 7.2 on an IBM Thinkpad 560e and ran into a lot of =
problems with X.
When trying to use the Trident driver it just put vertical lines on the =
screen or left the screen completly dark.
But when using the svga driver it displays correctly, with the exception =
that the upper region of the screen is not always updated correctly. The =
mouse-cursor will not enter this region but will be wrapped to the =
bottom of the screen and then overdraws the screencontents for some =
time, but will eventually stop doing that again.
I have been experimenting with a lot of settings and options to no avail =
and am beginning to despair
Does someone have a solution to this problem?
thx philipp
