For the night shift on marine vessels, it's considered really really important that nothing is even capable of 'flashing' the pilot. Is there an Xresource setting or maybe a command line option to specify the color of the X server, before it's even started? Right now, I have the first client spawned set the background black, but it still flashes up the grid pattern first. -Dan Garthwaite
