hi nick,

you are sure having a tough time with NT, wouldnt it be easier to get a 
linux box? :)

ok, tongue out of cheek now, how about this, take a scratch computer,
install linux, get Xfree86 working correctly, then use that as the
template for how to coerce the NT into doing the right thing?
