[Newbie]Xtremely frustrated Debian newbie

Why in the world did you start with Debian? That's like starting the fourth 
grade with differential equations. Try Mandrake. You can download it for 
free, or go to linuxcentral.com and buy the CDs for a couple of bucks.

It's not you; jumping into Debian left you open to all the linux Asberger 
cases.
