Subject: [Newbie]Starting X as a non root user

I have installed X4.2. It is working fine with startx as root by as any
other user it reports :
Fatal server error:
xf86OpenConsole: Server must be suid root

Can anyone help with this problem

X 3.3.6 was originally installed. X4.2 was then installed from the ports
tree. BSD version 4.5 cvsup tags 4_ was run prior to X upgrade
