[Newbie]XFree86-4.2 not work on RH7.3: HELP!

Sounds like your chip isn't supported by the S3 driver in 4.x. Whereas
RH 7.2 on your machine may well have been using 3.3.6.

This seems to be stinging quite a few people with S3 cards.

The quick fix, is to modify your XF86Config file and change the
line that says.

	Driver "s3"

to

	Driver "vesa"

Other than that, you'll need to drop back to 3.3.6.
