I'm trying to get Pentium 150 with 32Mb of memory to run two screens using an S3 Trio 64 and an S3 Virge display card with XFree86-4.2.0 I can start each screen up by itself (one screen running at one time) with X using very few resources, but when I try to get the two screens running, with or without using xinerama, X uses about 30% of available system memory and 96% of the CPU. I get part of a display on one screen and a blank screen on the other. I'm using FVWM2 as my window manager. Is my system just too basic or do I need to do something else to get xinerama running?
