I have a dell laptop c800 and have installed mandrake 8.2 and suse 8.0. In both i can not get any resolution but 1400x1050. I am trying to get 1024x768 so I can read the screen. My laptop has a ATI Mobility M4 graphics card and a Sharp LCD screen capable of 1600x1200. Both installation use the r128 driver. It must be a limitation in xfree86 since both distros have the same problem. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. I see this as a significant drawback to replacing Windows with Linux.
