Hi, I have a motherboard with an integrated video card (which really isn't that great). I finally spent some money and got an ATI Radeon 7000 (PCI, as that is the only port open). I have finally figured out how to get around Xconfigurator only finding the integrated card by using "Xconfigurator --expert". So I go through the whole process and set up for 24bit color and 1280x1024. But when Xconfigurator goes to test it all I get is 320x204, but I can see the test screen. Why only 320x204?? I have been reading something about "doublescan" but have no clue what that all means. Do I have any hope with this new PCI video card? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am using Redhat 7.1 and have the following installed (among other things): XFree86-4.0.3-5 Xconfigurator-4.9.29-1 XFree86-ISO8859-2-Type1-fonts-4.0.3-5 XFree86-Mach32-3.3.6-38 XFree86-Mach8-3.3.6-38 XFree86-tools-4.0.3-5 XFree86-SVGA-3.3.6-38 XFree86-100dpi-fonts-4.0.3-5 XFree86-Mach64-3.3.6-38 Craig -- Craig Jones, M.Sc.
