Hi,

I've just upgraded from Mandrake 8.1 to 8.2. But I found strange that
both XFree86 4.1 and 4.2 exist:

    $ rpm -qa |grep xfree86

	XFree86-devel-4.2.0-10mdk
    *   XFree86-compat-libs-4.1.0-2mdk
	XFree86-xfs-4.2.0-10mdk
	XFree86-100dpi-fonts-4.2.0-10mdk
    *   XFree86-4.1.0-17mdk
	XFree86-4.2.0-10mdk
	XFree86-libs-4.2.0-10mdk
	XFree86-server-4.2.0-10mdk
	XFree86-75dpi-fonts-4.2.0-10mdk

Is it correct?

I checked that 4.1 and 4.2 have almost the same file listing.

* How do I decide what version is running? and further,

* How to verify everything (or the major parts) for XFree86 is right?

thanks,
charlie
