[Newbie]xf86cfg vs xf86config

Would anyone know if there is a shell-script designed to run like either
the graphical or text-driven xf86config programs, that would check to make
sure consistencies were in place (such as ~/.xinitrc, /etc/ttys and so
forth)?

By the same token, is there a send-pr type of command to send a bug or
problem report in automatically, that would attach the most-recently used
XF86Config file, dmesg information, and the /var/log/XFree86.0.log file?

I think people would gladly pay a per-incident fee for these, or at least
for the service of interpreting the logfile and error messages!
