Did you try 'php -m' at the DOS-prompt? If so, did it show curl (between
ctype and date)?

php_openssl.dll is not dependent on libssh2.dll, so this may be the
trouble. You can try in-between releases here:
http://windows.php.net/downloads/releases/archives/
