Version 1.0 was slower than 1.1. Performance-wise it's about as fast as the DB-Library version on Windows, and faster than the FreeTDS version on Solaris. I have not done a performance comparison with FreeTDS on Linux. The odbtp extension is also considerably faster and more capable than the odbc extension. BTW: What were the specs of the server that was hosting the ODBTP service?
