If you're doing the former, you should be prompted for a location to save the file. If the latter, you're probably printing to cups-pdf. It also sounds like your distro is using nonstandard locations, so you need to ask your distro where to find the files. Well, it should tell you that there is nothing wrong with the print dialog regarding this, shouldn't it? Concerning "print to file", see my initial question. I will ask at Mepis Forum.
