s3a, I think you should uninstall and reinstall your ATi drivers. I've had the same issue before, and it's usually because the 32bit OpenGL libraries, from the drivers, didn't install/initialize correctly. Head to http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/linux/Pages/radeon_linux.aspx?type=2.4.1&product=2.4.1.3.42&lang=English and get the Catalyst 11.5's. Also, try out Wine v1.3.21.
