cppgenius: no, I was on drugs when I posted; that comment was meant for a different app. Sorry about that! But I did just try your app in wine-1.3.21+, and I didn't see the black problem. So try upgrading to wine-1.3.21 and/or renaming your .wine directory and reinstalling the app (it's possible there is some cruft in .wine that is interfering).
