Intel does not provide good Linux driver for its GPU so you can't expect it to 
work perfectly in Linux. ATI provide better Linux support but much worse than 
NVidia. In future before buying a computer/laptop make sure that it has NVidia 
GPU. In my experience Nvidia video cards work better in both Linux and Windows, 
and NVidia Linux drivers are of high-quality, suitable for both gaming and 
professional applications. I know this isn't an answer you will like because it 
is basically means you either have to buy better laptop or use dual-boot more 
often, but unfortunatelly it's just the way it is - this isn't a fault of Wine 
Project.
