(Amcap also crashes for me, but thanks to an Ubuntu "fix" my webcam
only works in xawtv under Linux (Ubuntu 9.04 and newer), and it
crashes (Linux) Skype, so it is not suitable for testing Wine webcam
support...)

(Closed, which seem quite stupid for an easy to test and readily
available DirectShow SDK demo with source available...) (If Amcap
doesn't work other DirectShow apps are unlikely to work) (If you are
willing to test the app accationally, you might get it reopened..)

Guess the webcams are not a high priority. Should I just wait
til someone has time to work on this or is that not practical,
tieme-wise. Would still love to test the apps if anyone can give me
some suggestions as to what procedures to folllow. Thanks for the
