I've found out what the problem is. My laptops battery is stuffed up (not holding its charge or something). I took out the battery and the games are now back to normal. Probably might be time for me to get a new computer, as it is not worth replacing the battery. Might see if I can find some way to fix the battery. Anyway, thank you all for your help!
