That doesn't seem to be the same problem as I am having, though related. This user is having problems with not being able to reassign the drive letters from /dev/sr1 to some directory, whereas my problem is that /dev/sr0  (whatever directory it is mounted under) does not get assigned a drive letter at all, even though I have a link from d:: -> /dev/sr0.
