Looks like a driver problem to me. Wine's 3D graphics implementation translates D3D calls into OpenGL. Can you run other OpenGL applications in Linux? What does this say? glxinfo |fgrep Yes Even this is no guarantee. Sometimes glxinfo will report direct rendering is working when in fact the driver is incomplete. As a far off indicator (though not a benchmark), glxgears will usually report 5,000+ FPS on systems with fairly adequate hardware and drivers for playing games.
