apart the wife and kids true, then it's only that missing element, time. is http://wiki.winehq.org/USB considered the way forward ? is there any other info or guidance (e.g. from AJ) of how to progress it? Apologies if my questions have been asked and answered before. Would wine expect libusb to be optional or required ? Why has Alexander Morozov patches not made it into wine yet? Is it, that as they are, they require libusb to be present and for the patches to be made part of wine they need to be tweaked to be optional depending on if libusb is detected? If the patches were incorporated, would you expect users to be able to run their USB driver installs sufficiently to allow the reg entries and driver files to be loaded and placed appropriately. Or would there always be a need to take the current approach of manually registering required entries and placing driver files in appropriate locations? If it were the later, could a small db be setup that could be added to with list of entries needed per known device and where to find the appropriate drivers on users original media if not available to download? Maybe even scripted to some degree like winetricks, just for usb...
