There's been a bit of discussion in http://zrusin.blogspot.com/2007/09/gallium3d.html about two years ago, showing that involvement from Wine would definitely be appreciated. After having read about Gallium3D a bit more in-depth I must say I'm getting enthousiastic about this. On an unrelated note, my own video card's the one that got the first driver for it! :)
