I am running Ubuntu 9.04 and have had Quicken 2009 installed and working for a month or so until the install of Wine 1.1.29. After that update installed Quicken would give the following error when it ran "Your Quicken program Files (Not your DAT files ) may have been damaged. You need to Reinstall quicken". I have a licensed download version of the software which I used for the first functional install so I reinstalled using that EXE. The install process worked correctly under WINE but the Error Reoccurred. I did use Winetricks but only to identify some additional packages to install. (specifically IE6 which I think is required by Quicken) I read the sticky with recommendations to help with debugging and produced the following log file fixme:ole:TLB_ReadTypeLib Header type magic 0x00905a4d not supported. err:ole:TLB_ReadTypeLib Loading of typelib L"C:\\Program Files\\Quicken\\QWUTIL.dll" failed with error 0 err:ole:TLB_ReadTypeLib Loading of typelib L"C:\\Program Files\\Quicken\\QWUTIL.tlb" failed with error 2 err:ole:CoGetClassObject class {389ea17b-5078-4cde-b6ef-25c15175c751} not registered err:ole:CoGetClassObject no class object {389ea17b-5078-4cde-b6ef-25c15175c751} could be created for context 0x1 err:ole:OleLoadPicture IPersistStream_Load failed I am guessing that there is something corrupted in my install. I tried to reinstall wine through Package manager but that did not change anything. Thanks.
