It is known that this works, but you don't need to use padsp. I also think that if everything is routed with padsp first (which doesn't necessarily *have* to happen) you lose surround.

Additionally, I only had the need for such dirty tricks during 0.9.x -- 1.0.0 and 1.0.5 -- 1.0.14 IIRC. Nowadays Wine works flawlessly with pulseaudio and alsa. No need for OSS, pasuspender or anything like that. I configured pulseaudio just like people on the Ubuntu Forums recommend us to.

In spite of this, I know that many people have problems with Pulseaudio and that others have Pulseaudio-hatred (much like Linux/Microsoft/Banana-hatred).
